She starts with an extremely low health pool, although this can be upgraded via Embellishments. Sharra is a high-damage character, a bit of a glass cannon. Other than that you have ragnarok is what I believe is the name which gives you crit on a single enemy every time. I’ve recommended Roguebook to both my friends (lol) but I feel like that’s not gonna have the impact on the community numbers that this game, and the devs, deserve.īut I can see why the 'I hate losing to RNG' crowd would get frustrated when they walk into a boss fight with a 30 card deck, all their block cards are in the bottom half of the deck, and they get stomped on turn 2 with no real recourse.

I almost didn’t buy the game because the reviews were mediocre and it was criticised for lack of focus and encouraging big decks, but my average Roguebook deck is probably 22 cards which is about the same/smaller than my average winning Slay deck and I’ve been able to build entire Roguebook decks around one concept as I have so much control over when to add a new card, gem or relics to my strategy (and when to wait until I have the right cards). I’m really disappointed as I’m enjoying my time with the game just as much as Slay (possibly more in the first few days as my win rate is higher), but feels like the game hasn’t got the love it deserves? No card tier lists, a small fanbase here and almost no Google or YouTube presence (everything was for Slay The Spire). One interesting gem+card combo can define a winning deck in ways I wouldn’t expect (and often didn’t actually intend). I’m a bit late to the party but I bought roguebook over the weekend and I’m LOVING IT.
